This little baby bear is such a cool dude at just 9 days of age! He was so relaxed for his newborn session... I could have gone all day! Even when he was wide awake he was still so content. His session was all tones of cream and yellow (inspired by the Tonka Truck set up). Also just quietly how awesome is his hair!! Congratulations Phil and Michelle such a gorgeous boy x x Brigitte
Kylie was 34+2 weeks of pure pregnancy perfection!!!! I don't know where to start with this gorgeous mumma! Kylie was so easy going! She just trusted me 100% with every idea I had. I wanted her photoshoot to be everything: natural, fun, sexy, glamorous, intimate, soft and beautiful! By combining elements of lifestyle and posed.... we totally nailed it!!!! Such a fun session and a beautiful day! Can't wait to meet this baby very soon!!!! The countdown is on! x x Brigitte
- Laura, Liela + Sloane -
As a photographer there is nothing more special than having return clients! My first session for this beautiful family was for Sloane's newborn session 18 months ago. Laura purchased this Mummy + Me session as a birthday present to herself. I can't believe how grown up these little ladies have become with their own personalities; Sloane's dark hair and calm and quiet nature is the complete contrast to Liela's blonde hair and non stop talking... mum calls them her chalk and cheese and I can totally understand why! We even had time to sneak in a few blossom shots down the road.

To celebrate my nan turning 90 in a couple weeks I always wanted to do a photoshoot. This special, little, old lady of mine who I get to call my nan is the sweetest human I know... so I wanted to make it really special!
She had no idea what was planned for her in secret. My brother picked her up for lunch, but when she arrived to my home studio and saw the streamers, confetti, balloons, cake and the huge smile on my face she knew we weren't going out to lunch.
We started the shoot dressed in a tutu and tiara with a French themed breakfast:
- Home made madelines (thank-you to my hubby for making these delicious french cakes fresh the night before)
- Coffee served in my Great Grand Mother's Royal Albert tea set (which my nana gifted to me on my Wedding day. This tea set is possibly one of my favourite things I own and was actually the inspiration for the current branding of Pardon my French Photography).
- French Champagne from Pommery... Nan wasn't too sure about the Champagne but she owned it like a boss and got tipsy off of half a glass (she NEVER drinks).
This was Nan's first time wearing a tutu, eating red velvet cake and drinking French Champagne... You're never too old to try new things!!! :D
After breakfast we proceeded to the Cake Smash... which was one of the cutest things I've ever seen! We had retro tunes playing and Nan was being so delicate... her mannerisms had my brother and I in stitches laughing! To get her in FULL CAKE SMASH MODE we got nan to smash the cake into my brother's face... the idea at the time was awesome... but the clean up sucked!
Once we finished the cake smash and cleaned up we went through some old photo albums. We stopped on two photos; one of Nan on her Wedding day when she was only 18 years old... and one of grandpa in his Army Uniform from WWII around the same age. Nan and I got dressed in some gorgeous ball gowns, vintage fur and pearls and went to the park down the road for some portraits. I could not have wished for these photos to have turned out any better... thank-you to my husband for learning to use the Camera and letting me boss him around while he took these pics. I LOVE THEM!!!!
It felt like this shoot has been booked in since forever ago!!! Since I started Pardon my French Photography 3 years ago Phoebe's mum (Glenice) has ALWAYS talked about having some photos done of her daughter Phoebe.
After booking me in to take photos of Pheobe's sweeth sixtenth and months of planning the day finally arrived! Glenice went all out and organsied a girl's weekend for her daughter and her closest dance friends. Their beachfront accommodation at Aldinga meant that we had the most beautiful location for photos! These girls had no idea what to expect and started off a little nervous... but by the end of the day they had found their inner Vogue and absolutely nailed the shoot!!!
Enjoy my gorgeous ballerinas!!!! Love your fave photographer x x Brigitte :D
Me behind the camera doing my thang! Thanks for the pic Glenice!!!! x x
Last year John and Zoe got married at the Palais at Semaphore. The day was so fun and really highlighted the importance of two families joining as one! Such a special day for this family :) Brigitte x x
Last month I got to experience my FIRST EVER Christening and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY! In fact I think I'm still in shock from the prettiness of it all. I first met Aria Mia at her newborn session 7 months ago when she was a teenie tot... now she is a happy bubba who loves everyone she meets! I had the BEST day and will let the photos speak for themselves! Thank-you Vanessa and Paul for once again trusting me with such a special time in your lives :) x x Brigitte
I met Wen YEARS ago when I was just a student studying Midwifery. This gorgeous woman is so hard working and a bit of a perfectionist like myself... we were always destined to get along! :) When she approached me to do her maternity and newborn sessions I was over the moon! I find it the biggest honour to be able to go on this journey with people I know :) Wen couldn't decide between studio or location so we did both! I got to meet her husband Tony and her son Finlay... and this family is just so sweet and have so much Love... it really made my job so easy to capture some special memories!! Here is just a little snippet of her 40 image gallery :) x x Brigitte
I met Rhiannon at the hospital where I work. She is an AMAZING doctor who I fell in love with instantly for many reasons; she is OBSESSED with Harry Potter, LOVES pretty stationery and appreciates a good cup of tea. This pretty lady and I were always destined to hit it off from the start!! Over a year ago she asked me if I would be interested in photographing her 10 year Wedding Anniversary! The answer was always going to be yes... even before she told me about the flower crowns and the location! I pretty much died and went to photographer's heaven when I arrived at the Middleton beach huts early to snap a few family shots. I got VERY snap happy and took many more than a few pics and had a hard time trying to narrow down my fave pics for this blog. To make the day even better Rhiannon's bridesmaid from 10 years ago (Rebecca) was there to help celebrate the day. Such a gorgeous way to celebrate a decade of Love and Family :) Thank-you so much Rhiannon and Andrew for inviting me to capture such a special day. x x Brigitte
Mr Noah was just the coolest 8 month old I have ever met... I mean C'MON! He was wearing a Star Wars cap! This gorgeous family had their lifestyle photos taken around the Pardon my French Studio followed by some studio portraits :) Here are some of my favourites from their lifestyle session x x Brigitte
I was over the moon to have placed third for Canon Australia’s light awards for July. In addition to winning a Canon e-store voucher I was lucky enough to also be flown to Sydney to have lunch with the Canon family and Steve Waugh (who was the guest judge for July’s competition). We had lunch at the AH-MAAAAA-ZING Iceberg Club on the beach front in Bondi. I feel so lucky to have shared the experience with:
- the beautiful, outgoing and friendly Canon family … you Guys provided us with such an incredible experience how can I thank you enough!? -
- Inspirational former Australian cricket captain and philanthropist Steve Waugh – SOOO much more than just a talented cricketer! Generous and Humble… I love meeting people like you -
- the other July winners who were all so supportive of each other and eager to learn… keep up the amazing work guys! -
- and lastly the incredible waiting staff from the Iceberg Club who were very attentive and provided such a high quality service -
Have fun Browsing the pics of our lunch and photos I took from our mentoring session where we got to play with all of Canon’s fancy kits and lenses. Alberto you were a superstar! Thanks for letting me take photos of you and in turn taking pics of me… I hope your family back home loves them
**(also special mention to Kate, Louis and Emma for making the day absolutely Spiffing and just so much fun!!!)**

Throw back to last year when a special client celebrated her baby shower at 32 weeks. Just a little side note I feel that I should mention that Kat looked absolutely radiant! Her best friend, Toiya, styled and organised the day! A big thank-you to Kat and Toiya for such a lovely day and Merci Beaucoup for letting Pardon my French be a part of it! Kat also booked in her newborn session with Pardon my French and I had fun meeting her little princess who already had a shoe collection that would give Carrie Bradshaw a run for her money! x x
